The Delta Class Shuttle is Federation shuttlecraft. Its design is based on the Delta Flyer, a craft designed and built by the crew of the U.S.S. Voyager during their sojourn in the Delta Quadrant. It is larger than standard Federation auxiliary craft and has more advanced shields, allowing for longer and more hazardous away missions. It also gains a 10% bonus to shield strength compared to other shuttles (60% versus the standard 50%), which is great Stats for hunting STO Credits with Delta Class Shuttle.

The Delta Flyer shuttle comes equipped with a [Delta Class Shuttle] ship device that, when activated, launches a non-combat Delta Flyer shuttle pet. It is intended that players equip this device into other vessels, and the device has no effect when equipped in the Delta Flyer itself.

Ship Performance for STO Credits

Similar to the Danube Class Runabout, the Delta class shuttle is poorly equipped for fighting full-size starships. However, it is a great ship for shuttle-scale combat owing to its standard 3-console layout and 2 bridge officer stations. For a semi-canon layout (and a nifty tractor beam ability) consider equipping it with the Assimilated Borg Technology set and disable all visuals except the shields.

Federation shuttles come with Standard Issue-S equipment and weapons that scale with the player. Additionally, shuttles have specialized beam arrays that have a 360-degree targeting arc. These cannot be equipped on any other type of vessel.
