It’s tough being a newbie in a long-running MMORPG. This is because the established players already have characters that have hit the level cap, mastered the mechanics of the game’s different dungeons and skills, and have amassed loads of the in-game currency. This is very much true in Neverwinter. Just imagine what a first-time player goes to the auction house and sees items being sold for thousands or millions of Neverwinter Astral Diamond. But you know what they say: it’s better late than never. So even though you might be a few months – or even years – behind with your arrival to Neverwinter, it’s never too late. Here’s how you can get to the rest of the world’s level in a short span of time.
Hit The Cap First
In any MMORPG, the first thing a newbie must do would be to reach level 70. After all, almost everything that is good in an MMO can be found in the end-game content, and Neverwinter isn’t any different. And thankfully, making your way from level 1 to 60 in this game quite can be pretty quick, as players usually just follow quests that take you from one zone to another. Another way for players to gain experience would be through PVP, as it too yields EXP. But once you get to level 60, leveling up is going to drastically slow down. Gearing Up: Spending Neverwinter Astral Diamonds and Questing
Once you hit level 70, your next concern should be gearing up. The first step in giving your character competent gear would be to complete the Final Vigilance quest in Spinward Rise. By completing eight repeatable quests on each of the three islands, you will receive a level 70 artifact weapon. After that, go to Sergeant Knox, as he will give you the Protector’s Emissary quest. Finish this and you’ll get a decent cloak and an offhnd artifact weapon. And to top it all off, get rare quality level 115 gear. You can do this by running dungeons, or by buying them at the auction house for merely 200-300 astral diamonds.
Now that you have competitive equipment, you can now engage in the usual end-game content: PVP, running Skirmishes and Dungeons, refining and upgrading your equipment and enchantments, collecting Neverwinter astral diamonds for better gear, and a whole lot more.
Playing catch-up with the rest of a game’s population can be quite daunting. However, once you get past that feeling of being a little newbie, you can begin making your way up. And once you’re there, you’ll finally feel like you belong.
