The Castanas is a trap type secondary weapon that does not deal damage until detonated. If you like to play strategically on your Warframe account, then this is a great addition to your arsenal. While it does not deal damage on impact, it makes up for it by having a large explosion radius and the ability to stick to any surface, including enemies! This is very useful when you know enemies will come in groups, or if you want to take out units pursuing you. This weapon will be available through the Market and Clan Research.

What Castanas bring to your Warframe account

Electric damage is one of the Castanas strong points. It will electrocute targets in a five meter radius with 100 base electric damage and a 10% status chance. To balance this, its unmodded clip size is only 2, with a low fire rate and a one second reload. You can however have a maximum of 6 Castanas out before you are forced to detonate them. Of course, if you have the appropriate mods on your Warframe account, you can make it fire more often or increase the damage. Have fun with your sneaky traps!
