The optional Cut-Throat league in Path of Exile is the game’s answer to challenging but rewarding PvP. After multiple tests and feedback from the community, the mode is being considered as a permanent addition to the optional leagues in the game. This will open up an interesting way to play with and get Path of Exile items.
Tweaks to PvPing for Path of Exile items
Based on the tests done by the game’s developers, the final version of Cut-Throat will most likely not be hardcore. This is to give players a chance to get their Path of Exile items back from the player who took them. Parties will also most likely be forbidden in the game mode to prevent unfair team ups, as well as to create entertaining friendly-fire situations. Level restrictions for areas are also being considered to ensure fair match ups.
Getting Path of Exile items from other players
For those unaware, Cut-Throat is a mode in League of Legends where players can join other players’ instances. All equipped Path of Exile items are dropped upon death and can be stolen by other players. Finally, when a player takes down another player, the defeated player suffers a 30% experience penalty. The victor, on the other hand, gains this experience.
